During her formative years, Siobhan Finneran developed a keen interest in acting and pursued her dreams by enrolling in drama school. She developed her skills at the Oldham Theatre Workshop, where she gained invaluable experience and nurtured her talent. Finneran’s dedication and commitment to her craft laid a strong foundation for her future success.
Following her education, Siobhan Finneran embarked on a career that would eventually lead her to become a prominent figure in the entertainment industry. She began her acting journey with appearances in various theatre productions, showcasing her versatility and range as a performer. Her exceptional talent was quickly recognised, and Finneran soon transitioned into television and film.
One of Siobhan Finneran’s career highlights came in the late 1990s when she was cast as the lovable and witty Janice Garvey in the hit British sitcom, “Benidorm.” Her portrayal of the character endeared her to audiences and garnered critical acclaim. Finneran’s impeccable comedic timing and nuanced performance made her a fan favourite throughout the show’s successful run.

In addition to her television work, Siobhan Finneran has also made notable contributions to the big screen. More recently Finneran has been romantically linked to actor Don Gilet, who is known for his work in Death in Paradise. The two reportedly grew close while working together on the 2017 drama The Loch. Although they have kept their relationship relatively private, Siobhan has referred to Gilet as “my fella” in interviews.
Finneran has also spoken about balancing her career with raising her children, especially during their younger years. She took a step back from acting at times to focus on her family.
