Born: 18 December 1964, Hexham, Northumberland, England.
Despite facing financial challenges during his childhood, Robson Green’s determination led him to pursue his passion for acting. After completing his primary education at Dudley Middle School, he went on to attend the Matthew Murray High School in Leeds.
Robson Green’s career began when he joined the Newcastle-based theatre company “Live Theatre” at the age of fifteen. This experience helped shape his skills as an actor and laid the foundation for what would become a successful career.
In 1991, Robson gained widespread recognition through his role as Fusilier Dave Tucker in the British television drama series “Soldier Soldier.” The show became hugely popular and catapulted him into stardom within the UK entertainment industry. His portrayal of Tucker showcased both his acting abilities and charismatic presence.
Following this breakthrough role, Robson continued to make notable appearances across various television dramas such as “Grafters,” which earned him critical acclaim alongside co-star Stephen Tompkinson. He also starred in “Touching Evil” where he played Detective Inspector Dave Creegan from 1997 to 1999.
One of Robson Green’s most significant roles came with the crime drama series “Wire in the Blood,” which aired from 2002 to 2008. In this psychological thriller based on novels by Val McDermid, he portrayed Dr. Tony Hill, a clinical psychologist who assists police investigations into complex criminal cases.
Aside from television roles, Robson has also made appearances on stage productions such as Shakespearean plays and musicals. His versatility as an actor has allowed him to take on a wide range of characters, showcasing his talent and adaptability.
