Mini Biography

Born: 3 June 1987, Stockport, Greater Manchester, England. 

Michelle Keegan’s early life was marked by a passion for performing. After graduating from St Patrick’s RC High School, she embarked on a career in acting, attending the Manchester School of Acting. Her breakthrough came in 2008 when she joined the long-running ITV soap opera Coronation Street, portraying the feisty and ambitious Tina McIntyre. Keegan’s portrayal of Tina won her numerous accolades, including the British Soap Award for Sexiest Female and the British Soap Award for Best Newcomer.

In 2013, Michelle Keegan embarked on a new chapter in her career, taking on the role of Sergeant Georgie Lane in the BBC drama series Our Girl. The series follows Georgie’s journey as a member of the British Army’s Special Forces, showcasing her bravery, resilience, and unwavering commitment to her comrades. Keegan’s portrayal of Georgie earned her further recognition, including the National Television Award for Best Dramatic Performance by a Female Actor.

Beyond her television work, Michelle Keegan has also ventured into film, starring in the 2014 biopic Tina and Bobby, portraying the title character, Tina Moore, alongside the late actor Bobby Moore. She has also appeared in the films Strangeways Here We Come, Coronation Street: Out of Africa, and Coronation Street: Tram Crash.

In 2016, Keegan stepped into the role of Erin Croft, a feisty single mother in the Sky Max comedy series Brassic. The show’s offbeat humor and relatable characters resonated with audiences, cementing Keegan’s status as a versatile actress capable of captivating in both dramatic and comedic roles.
