Alexandra Bastedo attended the Brighton College of Art, where she studied acting and drama. Her passion and dedication towards her craft propelled her into the world of theatre and film.
In her personal life, Bastedo was known for her love of animals. She was a devoted animal rights activist and founded the Alexandra Bastedo Champions Animal Sanctuary, which focused on providing shelter and care for abandoned and mistreated animals.
Bastedo’s acting career took off in the 1960s when she landed the role of Sharron Macready in the popular British television series “The Champions.” The show revolved around a group of three secret agents who possess superhuman abilities. Bastedo’s performance as Sharron, a telepathic agent, earned her widespread acclaim and made her a household name.
Following the success of “The Champions,” Bastedo appeared in numerous television shows and films. Some of her notable TV appearances include “The Saint,” “The Prisoner,” and “Absolutely Fabulous.” She also starred in films such as “13 Frightened Girls!” and “The Ghoul.”
