Mini Biography

Born: 15 March 1989, Oxford, England. 

Tom Bateman graduated from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art in 2011 and began his acting career on stage, appearing in productions such as “The Duchess of Malfi” and “Much Ado About Nothing.”

Bateman made his television debut in 2011 in the British drama series “The Tunnel” and has since appeared in several popular TV shows, including “Da Vinci’s Demons,” “Jekyll and Hyde,” and “Vanity Fair.”

In 2017, Bateman landed his breakthrough role as Bouc in the film adaptation of Agatha Christie’s “Murder on the Orient Express.” He has since appeared in several other films, including “Cold Pursuit,” “Behind Her Eyes,” and “Death on the Nile.”

Bateman has also continued to work on stage, appearing in productions such as “The Lieutenant of Inishmore” and “The Ferryman.” He has received critical acclaim for his performances and has been nominated for several awards, including an Olivier Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role.

Outside of acting, Bateman is known for his humanitarian work and has supported several charities, including the British Red Cross and Save the Children.
