Mini Biography

Born: 22 September 1979, Sundsvall, Västernorrland, Sweden. 

MyAnna Buring grew up in the Middle East and Europe before settling in the UK.

Buring began her acting career in 2004, appearing in small roles in British television shows such as “Casualty” and “Doctors.” She gained wider recognition for her role as Tanya in the hit British comedy series “The Inbetweeners” in 2008.

Since then, Buring has appeared in a variety of British television shows and films, including “Downton Abbey,” “Ripper Street,” and “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn.” She is also known for her role as Edna Braithwaite in the popular period drama “Downton Abbey.”

In addition to her acting work, Buring is a co-founder of the London-based production company, MahWaff Theatre Company. She has also worked as a voice actor, lending her voice to the video game “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.”

Buring has been recognised for her talent and dedication to her craft, receiving nominations for the Best Supporting Actress award at the British Independent Film Awards and the Screen Actors Guild Awards.

Off-screen, Buring is known for her activism and advocacy work. She has spoken out on issues such as gender equality and animal rights, and has worked with organisations such as Women for Women International and PETA.
