Born:14 January 1965, Tang Hall, York, North Riding of Yorkshire, England.Â
Mark Addy began his acting career in the late 1980s, performing in various theatre productions in his hometown.
In 1996, Addy landed his breakthrough role as Dave in the British comedy-drama film “The Full Monty,” which earned him critical acclaim and international recognition. He went on to star in several successful films, including “Jack Frost,” “A Knight’s Tale,” and “Robin Hood.”
Addy also made a name for himself in television, appearing in popular shows such as “Game of Thrones,” “The Thin Blue Line,” and “Doctor Who.” He earned a Screen Actors Guild Award for his role in the HBO series “Game of Thrones.”
Despite his success, Addy remains grounded and dedicated to his craft. He continues to work in theatre, film, and television, always seeking out new and challenging roles.
Off-screen, Addy is a devoted husband and father of three children. He enjoys spending time with his family and is an avid supporter of various charitable causes, including children’s hospitals and cancer research.
