Born: 9 August 1973, Elgin, Moray, Scotland.

With talent that captivates audiences worldwide, Kevin McKidd has taken on numerous notable roles throughout his career. One of his most prominent performances came as Lucius Vorenus in the critically acclaimed historical drama series Rome (2005-2007).

Another significant role that catapulted him into global recognition was that of Dr. Owen Hunt on Grey’s Anatomy (since 2008). As a trauma surgeon struggling with personal demons while navigating complex relationships within Seattle Grace Hospital, McKidd’s compelling portrayal earned him widespread acclaim from viewers and critics alike.

Beyond television dramas, Kevin has also made memorable appearances on the big screen. Notably, he played Tommy MacLeish in Trainspotting (1996), Danny Harrison in Kingdom of Heaven (2005), and Poseidon in Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief (2010).

In addition to acting prowess displayed across various mediums over the years, Kevin is also recognised for lending his voice talents to several video games such as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare franchise and Halo: Reach.
