Born: 6 September 2001, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.

Freya Allan’s path to stardom began on the stage. As a young girl, she was part of the Rapunzel Ballet Lorent’s youth company, performing at the prestigious Oxford Playhouse.

Freya Allan attended Headington School, the alma mater of Harry Potter actress Emma Watson. Excelling academically, she achieved impressive grades, showcasing both her intellectual and artistic talents. Following her graduation, Allan attended the National Film and Television School (NFTS) in Beaconsfield. Here, she not only received valuable training but also gained practical experience by starring in short films like “Bluebird” and “The Christmas Tree.”

Fuelled by her passion for acting, Allan furthered her education at the Arts University Bournemouth. This period proved pivotal as she landed the role of Linda in the short film “Captain Fierce.” This experience, along with her training, prepared her for the life-changing audition that would propel her into the spotlight.

In 2018, at the age of 17, Freya Allan secured the coveted role of Cirilla Fiona Elen Riannon, or Ciri for short, in Netflix’s highly anticipated adaptation of the fantasy series “The Witcher.” Based on the bestselling novels and video games, the show garnered immense global attention. Allan’s portrayal of the fierce and determined Ciri, the princess of a fallen kingdom, resonated with audiences worldwide. The success of “The Witcher” launched Allan into international fame, making her one of the most promising young actresses in the industry.

Building on her success, Allan continued to expand her filmography. She appeared in the 2020 HBO miniseries “The Third Day”. In 2021, she took on the role of the young Sam in the action-packed film “Gunpowder Milkshake.” Most recently, Allan stepped into the sci-fi realm, portraying a pivotal character named Mae in the 2024 film “Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes.”
