Mini Biography

Born: October 17 1983, Bournville, Birmingham, England.

Felicity Jones attended King Edward VI Handsworth School in Birmingham, where she participated in school theatre productions.

After secondary school she secured a place at the prestigious Wadham College, Oxford, where she studied studied English Literature. During her time at Oxford, Jones continued to explore her passion for acting by participating in various stage productions.

After completing her education, Felicity Jones embarked on her professional acting journey. She made her breakthrough in 2008 with her critically acclaimed performance in the drama film “Brideshead Revisited.” However, it was her role in the 2011 romantic drama “Like Crazy” that truly brought her widespread recognition. Her portrayal of a young woman in a long-distance relationship earned her numerous accolades, including a Special Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival.

Jones continued to impress audiences with her captivating performances in films such as “The Theory of Everything” (2014), where she portrayed Jane Hawking, the wife of renowned physicist Stephen Hawking. Her exceptional portrayal earned her an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress. She further demonstrated her versatility in movies like “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” (2016) and “The Aeronauts” (2019).

In 2018, she married film director Charles Guard, and they welcomed their first child in 2020.
