Born: 15 April 1990 Paris, France. 

Emma Watson is an actress, model and activist who is best known for playing Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter film series, as well as starring in other movies such as The Perks of Being a Wallflower, The Bling Ring, Beauty and the Beast, and Little Women.

Emma Watson grew up in Oxfordshire, England, after her parents divorced when she was five years old. She attended the Dragon School and later the Headington School, where she balanced her studies with her acting career. She also took acting classes at the Oxford branch of Stagecoach Theatre Arts. She made her professional debut as Hermione Granger in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone in 2001, when she was eleven years old. She continued to play the role of the smart and brave witch in the following seven films, earning worldwide fame and recognition. She also received several awards and nominations for her performance, such as the Young Artist Award, the MTV Movie Award, and the Teen Choice Award.

Besides Harry Potter, Watson also appeared in other films and television projects, such as Ballet Shoes, The Tale of Despereaux, My Week with Marilyn, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, The Bling Ring, Noah, Colonia, The Circle, and more. She also played the iconic role of Belle in the live-action remake of Beauty and the Beast in 2017, and the role of Meg March in the adaptation of Little Women in 2019.

Emma Watson is also known for her involvement in fashion and activism. She has modeled for brands such as Burberry and Lancôme and has collaborated with ethical clothing lines such as People Tree and Alberta Ferretti. She has also been a vocal advocate for gender equality and women’s rights, becoming a UN Women Goodwill Ambassador in 2014 and launching the HeForShe campaign. She has also supported other causes such as education, environmentalism and human rights. She has been named one of the most influential people in the world by Time magazine and one of the most inspiring women by Vogue magazine.

Emma Watson graduated from Brown University with a bachelor’s degree in English literature in 2014, after taking a gap year to focus on her film projects. She also studied at Oxford University as a visiting student. She is fluent in English and French and enjoys reading, painting, yoga and dancing. She has dated several celebrities, such as Tom Felton, Will Adamowicz, Matthew Janney and Leo Robinton. She currently lives in London and is a board member of Kering, a luxury brand group.
