Mini Biography

Born: 27 June 1992, Enfield, Greater London, England. 

Emma D’Arcy discovered their passion for acting through a memorable role as Titania in a school production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream during year six. Graduating from the Ruskin School of Art at St Edmund Hall in Oxford in 2011, they began their theatrical journey as a set designer before venturing into acting and directing.

Expanding beyond stage work, D’Arcy has ventured into television shows and films with notable roles. They graced Philippa Lowthorpe’s comedy-drama Misbehaviour. They further demonstrated their versatility by portraying Emma Hobday in Mothering Sunday, a love story directed by Eva Husson that delves into class differences and postwar survivor guilt.

Emma D’Arcy has also appeared in Wanderlust (2018), Truth Seekers (2020) and the international breakout role of Princess Rhaenyra in House of the Dragon.
