Mini Biography

Born: 2 February 1997, Surrey, England. 

Ellie Bamber was born to a creative family, with her mother being a concert violinist and her father working in the business sector. From a young age, Bamber displayed a keen interest in the performing arts, particularly acting and dancing. She began taking dance lessons and participating in local theatre productions, nurturing her passion for the stage.

She attended the prestigious Wellington College, where she received guidance from experienced teachers. Her time at Wellington College allowed her to develop a strong foundation in acting techniques and broaden her understanding of the performing arts.

Bamber’s breakthrough in the entertainment industry came in 2015 when she was cast as Lydia Bennett in “Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.”

In the television series “The Trial of Christine Keeler,” Ellie Bamber portrayed Mandy Rice-Davies, a key figure in the scandal that rocked British politics in the 1960s.

In the 2018 television adaptation of Victor Hugo’s classic novel “Les Misérables,” Bamber took on the role of Cosette. The series, which tells the story of love, sacrifice, and redemption in 19th-century France, received critical acclaim for its faithful adaptation and powerful performances.

In the 2021 crime drama series “The Serpent,” Ellie Bamber took on the role of Angela Knippenberg, the wife of Dutch diplomat Herman Knippenberg. The show, based on real events, tells the chilling story of serial killer Charles Sobhraj and his crimes in the 1970s.

Bamber has used her platform to advocate for causes she is passionate about, such as environmental sustainability and gender equality.
