Mini Biography

Born: 10 October 1982, London, England. 

Dan Stevens grew up in Wales and South East England, where he developed a love for acting from a young age. Stevens attended Tonbridge School and later studied English Literature at Emmanuel College, Cambridge. During his university years, he actively participated in theatre productions, showcasing his passion and talent for the performing arts. 

After completing his education, Stevens began his professional acting career. He gained recognition for his role as Matthew Crawley in the critically acclaimed television series “Downton Abbey” (2010-2012). This breakthrough role earned him widespread acclaim and popularity.

Following his success on “Downton Abbey”, Stevens ventured into other projects, showcasing his range and talent. He appeared in various films, including “The Guest” (2014), “Beauty and the Beast” (2017), and “The Man Who Invented Christmas” (2017).

Beyond his professional achievements, Dan Stevens leads a fulfilling personal life. In 2009, he married South African jazz singer Susie Hariet, and they have three children together.

Stevens is actively involved in philanthropic endeavors. He is an ambassador for the Motor Neurone Disease Association, raising awareness and funds for the disease.
