Max Irons was born into a family deeply rooted in the theatrical world. His father, Jeremy Irons, is a renowned English actor, and his mother, Sinéad Cusack, is an Irish actress of equal acclaim. Surrounded by the vibrancy of stage performances and the allure of storytelling, Max’s passion for acting ignited early on.
Despite his family’s deep roots in the theatre, Max Irons encountered difficulties in his education due to dyslexia, a learning disability impacting literacy skills. Nevertheless, he remained resolute in his ambition to become an actor. Following his education at the Dragon School in Oxford and Bryanston School in Dorset, he gained admission to the renowned Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

Iron’s professional acting career began in 2004 with a minor role in the drama film “La diva Julia,” starring alongside his father. He continued to build his resume with appearances in stage productions like “Oedipus,” “The Revenger’s Tragedy,” and “The Cherry Orchard”.
His breakthrough came in 2011 with the role of Henry Lazar in the gothic fantasy film “Red Riding Hood,” opposite Amanda Seyfried. The film’s success propelled him into the limelight, and he went on to secure notable roles in various projects, including the period drama “The White Queen”.

The year 2017 saw Irons take center stage as the leading man in the historical drama “Bitter Harvest,” a film depicting the Ukrainian famine of the 1930s. His portrayal of Yurii, a Ukrainian farmer struggling to survive amidst the Soviet regime’s oppressive policies, garnered critical acclaim, cementing his position as a versatile and commanding actor.
Irons’s television career gained traction with his role as Joseph Turner in the spy thriller series “Condor,” which aired for two seasons between 2018 and 2020.
In 2013, Max Irons began a romantic relationship with Sophie Pera, the fashion director for Tatler magazine. They tied the knot in Oxfordshire on 30 November 2019. The couple welcomed a daughter into their lives in 2023.
