Born: 5 January 1988, Leeds, West Yorkshire, England.Â
After completing her education at a local school, Mandip Gill enrolled in the acting program at the University of Central Lancashire. Here she developed a strong foundation in theater, film, and television acting.
Mandip Gill’s breakthrough came when she landed the role of Phoebe McQueen in the popular British soap opera “Hollyoaks.” Her portrayal of the complex and troubled character garnered critical acclaim and won the hearts of viewers, establishing her as a rising star in the television world.
However, it was her role as Yasmin (Yaz) Khan in the long-running science fiction series “Doctor Who” that catapulted Mandip Gill to international recognition. Joining the cast in 2018, she brought depth, intelligence, and a refreshing energy to the character. Her portrayal of Yasmin Khan, a police officer turned time-traveling companion, captivated audiences worldwide and made her a beloved figure in the “Doctor Who” universe.
