Mini Biography
Born: 14 May 1973, Bath, Somerset, England.
Indira Varma attended Beechen Cliff School in Bath before pursuing her passion for acting at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in London.Â

One of her most notable roles came as Niobe of the Voreni tribe in HBO’s critically acclaimed series “Rome” (2005-2007). Varma portrayed this complex character with depth and charisma, earning praise for her portrayal of a woman facing political intrigue amidst ancient Rome.
Another significant role came when she joined the cast of HBO’s hit fantasy drama series “Game of Thrones” (2014-2017). Playing Ellaria Sand, a powerful Dornish noblewoman seeking vengeance against House Lannister.
In addition to these television successes, Indira Varma has also made notable appearances on stage. She starred as Kate Keller alongside Mark Strong in Arthur Miller’s play “A View from the Bridge,” which won critical acclaim during its run at The Young Vic Theatre in London.
