Born February 5, 1987, Betong, Sarawak, Malaysia.

Henry Golding’s early life was a blend of cultures, with his mother, Margaret Likan Golding, being of indigenous Dayak Iban ancestry from Malaysia  and his father, Clive Golding, hailing from England. The family’s initial years were spent in Terengganu, Malaysia, before relocating to Surrey, England, when Henry was eight years old.

Henry Golding’s education took place at The Warwick School in Redhill, Surrey. After completing his studies, he embarked on a career as a hairdresser on Sloane Street in London, a path that would eventually lead him back to Kuala Lumpur at the age of 21 to pursue on-camera roles.

Henry Golding’s breakthrough came in 2017 when he was cast as Nick Young in the film “Crazy Rich Asians,” following a global casting call. His charm and personality caught the attention of director Jon M. Chu, landing him his first significant acting role. The film, released in August 2018, received high critical praise and topped the U.S. and Canadian box office during its opening weekend.

Following the success of “Crazy Rich Asians,” Golding’s career continued to flourish. He appeared in the thriller “A Simple Favor” (2018), co-starring Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick, where he played Sean Townsend, the husband of Lively’s character. His collaboration with director Paul Feig continued with the romantic comedy “Last Christmas” (2019), opposite Emilia Clarke.

Henry Golding versatility as an actor is evident in his diverse filmography. He starred alongside Matthew McConaughey, Hugh Grant and Michelle Dockery in Guy Ritchie’s crime film “The Gentlemen” (2019). He also took on the title role in the action-adventure “Snake Eyes” (2021), a spin-off from the G.I. Joe movie franchise, showcasing his ability to lead in action-packed roles.

On the personal front, Golding is married to Liv Lo and the couple have two children.
