Born Memphis Eve Sunny Day Iris Hewson, Eve Hewson is an accomplished actress known for her captivating performances on both the big and small screens. She is the daughter of humanitarian and activist Ali Hewson and U2 frontman Bono.

Hewson’s early life was marked by a strong sense of social consciousness and a passion for the arts. She attended the prestigious Dalkey School Project and St. Andrew’s College in Dublin before pursuing a degree in Acting, Theatre Production, and Theatre Design at New York University.

Hewson’s professional acting debut came in 2005 alongside her sister Jordan in the short film “Lost and Found.” Her breakthrough role arrived in 2011 with the Golden Globe-winning drama “This Must Be the Place,” where she portrayed the troubled daughter of a former Nazi hunter.

Eve Hewson continued to gain recognition for her portrayals in films like “Blood Ties” (2013), “Bridge of Spies” (2015), and “Robin Hood” (2018). She made her television debut in 2014 as Nurse Lucy Elkins in Steven Soderbergh’s critically acclaimed series “The Knick.”

In 2020, Hewson starred in the lavish historical miniseries “The Luminaries,” based on Eleanor Catton’s Man Booker Prize-winning novel. She then captivated audiences with her portrayal of Adele in the psychological thriller miniseries “Behind Her Eyes” (2021).

Most recently, Hewson garnered acclaim for her performance as Becka in the dark comedy series “Bad Sisters” (2022), which earned her a Satellite Award for Best Ensemble: Television.

Beyond her acting career, Eve Hewson is a passionate advocate for social justice and humanitarian causes. She has worked with organisations like Unicef, Amnesty International, and the Make Poverty History campaign.
